About Me

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the mathematics department at the University of Auckland. I previously completed my PhD under the supervision of Steven D. Galbraith.

My research focus lies on arithmetic geometry, i.e. the interplay of number theory and algebraic geometry. Currently, I am thinking about isogenies of abelian varieties, and especially about phenomena in positive characteristic. I am also interested in the use of isogenies in (post-quantum) cryptography.

Before pursuing mathematics, I studied theoretical physics at ETH Zürich. From this comes my complicated love for high energy physics, which I still hold dear to my heart and follow new developments in with great interest.
