COURSE DESCRIPTION
An introduction to mathematical thinking and proofs. The emphasis of the course is that it is not only important to find the right answer to a problem but also to be able to convince others (and ourselves) that the answer is correct. MATH255 is an essential course for all students advancing in pure mathematics and many areas of applied mathematics and statistics.
Prerequisite: 15 points from MATHS 152, 250, PHYSICS 112, 210, or an A- pass in MATHS 208
