Study for a postgraduate degree or diploma in Mathematics at the University of Auckland.

The Department of Mathematics is one of the largest and most diverse departments within the University of Auckland. It is the strongest mathematics department amongst the New Zealand universities, and it has a strong international reputation. It offers degrees and diplomas that are recognised widely with employers in New Zealand and internationally.

If you enjoyed your experience as an undergraduate student in mathematics then you should seriously consider further study. This may also give you the opportunity to be involved in leading edge research.

As a postgraduate student in Math you can specialise in your area of choice and pursue your studies in depth. The Department offers four postgraduate programmes – thePostgraduate Diploma in Science, the Bachelor of Science (or Arts) Honours, the Masters degree and the PhD.

There are also graduate level diplomas such as the Graduate Diploma in Science and the Secondary Teaching Diploma in Mathematics Education.

A postgraduate qualification in mathematics will open up a wide range of career opportunities for you and provide you with knowledge and skills in demand. We will be pleased to welcome you as a graduate student in our department.
