James Sneyd

Department of Mathematics

The third edition came out in late 2025, not long before Jim Keener died. He was a real giant in the field, and will be greatly missed.

Math and Stats for Science

As someone once sneered to me "Oh, so you're doing ALL of math now?". Yep. Better watch out, mate. I'm coming for ALL YOUR MATH.

A book for science students who really do not want to do a math class. Mind you, it's so thick and heavy it's just as likely to terrify them.

Lots and lots of calcium. Better than eating cheese. And written with my favourite calcium colleagues. Not counting the ones who only do experiments (like David Yule) or who are dead (like Mike Sanderson, which remains a great sadness for me).

Self-Organisation

With the great Scott Camazine, to whom I don't talk nearly as much as I should. Which is entirely my own fault.
