Using MuPAD

MuPad is a computer algebra system that is very similar to Maple. Recent versions of MATLAB (2008B and later) use MuPad to drive MATLAB's symbolic toolbox. If you have such a version of MATLAB with the symbolic toolbox installed, you can start MuPAD by typing "mupad" at MATLAB's command prompt. MuPAD will start.

MuPAD has a nice help system built in, but this guide might help you to get started (right click the link to download the guide; option-click on a mac with a single button mouse). To open the guide, start MuPAD and select "open" from MuPAD's file menu, or just double click the guide to start MuPAD if you don't have MuPAD running already.

Here's a sample tutorial on Fourier series to show how you can use MuPAD in teaching. (Right click the link to download the guide; option-click on a mac with a single button mouse)
