As a mark of respect for the death of Sri Chinmoy, the eleventh annual New Zealand Self-Transcendence 6-12-24 hour track races, scheduled for October 13-14, 2007, were cancelled. The cancellation was two days before the scheduled start of the result.

Jens Borello from Denmark was already in Auckland for another attempt at getting his New Zealand Centurion designation. To permit the attempt, Linda and Michael Law along with Graham Cleal staged a 24-hour race for Jens. Unfortunately, the weather was stormy and Jens was unable to complete the distance.
