Help with Maths

The Tuākana Maths programme includes the following:

Study Rooms

Rooms B13 and B15, in the basement of the Science Centre, Building 303, are available to Māori and Pacific Science students. The rooms provide a place to study alone or with other Mathematics students, and you can also get assistance from tutors who are present at various times.

Tuākana Tutors

Tuākana tutors are available for help with your Mathematics courses in the Tuākana room (303-B13 in the basement of the Mathematics building) from 3-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The timetable below details when specific tutors will be present.

Tuākana tutors will be visible in their blue sashes. Feel free to bring a friend along to the sessions, we want to promote an active learning community.

There are text books for most Maths courses available in the Tuākana room.

Mathematics assistance room

Drop in for one-on-one assistance.

Where: Building 302 Room 170.

When: Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm during semester weeks. Reduced times during the semester and study breaks.

One-on-one help for all courses

Your lecturer has office hours which should be posted on their door or in your course study guide. They are available for one-to-one help during these times and their priority is to help students.
