We consider the problem of maximal regularity for evolution equations with time dependent operators. The operators are associated with sesquilinear forms on a Hilbert space. We shall see that if the forms are $C^\alpha$ (w.r.t. time) for some $ \alpha > 1/2$ then the maximal regularity property holds. In some situations, the required regularity property can be improved but not in general. It was proved recently by S. Fackler that our condition $C^\alpha$ with $\alpha > 1/2$ cannot be improved. |
