Designing numeracy resources with obvious real-life relevancy for students can be somewhat difficult, particularly for instructors/teachers of numeracy who do not feel confident with the subject. This presentation will explore some ways in which fashion might be used as a context to explore or practise some mathematical concepts and skills, by examining a few of the roles mathematics plays in an industry which touches all of our lives. |
