What's a foot
Typically, each country holds just one or two events each year in which people can qualify as a centurion. To maintain their race fitness and interest, centurions and would-be centurions, often compete in other distances, as short as a half marathon and as long as the 1000 kilometres. Below is are lists of walking races in New Zealand for 2008. There will likely be many other races in 2008. Once we know the dates, we will add them to the lists belows.

Mar 9, 2008. Kaikerikeri half marathon, Riwaka, Motueka, Nelson. The entry fee is $25 for individuals or $30 for teams. Entries close March 1. Website.

Feb 23-24, 2008. Marmot Kaweka Challenge, Kawekas near Hastings. Races of interest are the one-day 41 kilometres (3060m of climbing) and 28 kilometres (2160m of climb). Website - wouldn't load.
Mar 8, 2008. Tararua Mountain Race, Kaitoke. 35K mountain race. Individual or two-person teams. The entry fee for individuals is $65 and that for teams $120. Optional cost of $35 for a shuttle from the finish line (Otaki Forks) to Wellington Railway Station. Entries close Mar 1. Website
