Welcome to Rotorua, New Zealand.

International Conference on Analytic Topology and its Applications will be held from 10 July to 14 July in Rotorua, New Zealand.

The main goal of this conference is to bring together a group of researchers from around the world, who are working at the inter-face between topology and analysis, to discuss the recent developments and future directions of Analytic Topology. There will be a series of one hour plenary talks and 20 minute contributed talks on various topics. All lectures and talks will be in the conference center of Lake Plaza Rotorua Hotel, 1000 Eruera Street, Rotorua, New Zealand.

Abstracts and Proceedings

Conference participants can sumbit the abstracts of their talks through the online submission form by clicking abstract submission. The deadline for the abstract submission is 31 May 2006. The conference proceedings will be published in New Zealand Journal of Mathematics as a special issue.

There will be a reception desk open from 4:30pm, 9 July in the lobby of Lake Plaza Hotel. The welcome function will start from 5:30pm, 9 July.

Travel

International delegates can fly from overseas airports to Auckland airport, and then change directly to a domestic flight to Rotorua airport. It will take about 15 minutes by a shuttle or minibus from Rotorua airport to Lake Plaza Hotel.

For participants who come to Auckland before the conference, we recommend they stay at Hyatt Regency Hotel (beside the city campus of University of Auckland). A standard room at this hotel is NZ$140+GST per person per night, and a grand room is NZ$160+GST per person per night (When you make a reservation, please mention you are associated with the University of Auckland). A free bus will meet conference participants at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 10:30am on 9 July, or outside Maths Buliding at the conner of Wellesley Street and Princes Street at 11:00am on 9 July. There will be a free bus back to Auckland leaving the Lake Plaza Hotel on the afternoon of Friday, 14 July.

Accommodation

All talks will be at the conference center of Lake Plaza Rotorua Hotel, 1000 Eruera Street, Rotorua, New Zealand. Therefore, we suggest all conference participants stay at this hotel. To get the special rate of NZ$110+GST (=NZ$123), please mention you are participating in the International Conference on Analytic Topology and its Application. Located on the shores of Lake Rotorua, the Lake Plaza Hotel is the largest in Rotorua. Many of its 250 rooms provide guests with superb views of the lake and the nearby thermal areas. Just two blocks from the city center, the Lake Plaza is ideally located as a base for holiday-makers to explore all that Rotorua has to offer.

For delegates staying at the Lake Plaza Hotel, breakfast is available in the hotel. Full breakfast at NZ$19 (including GST), continental breakfast at NZ$14 (including GST). Otherwise, there are many excellent places to eat along Fenton Street for about NZ$10-12 for breakfast.

Conference Dinner

There will be a conference dinner (including Maori cultural performance) in the evening of Wednesday, 12 July. For delegates, the cost is included in the registration fee (not for partners). Partners can attend the conference dinner at NZ$55 for adults.
