Title : Essential infinitesimal automorphisms of projective and conformal structures

Abstract
| Mixing ideas from geometry, algebra and dynamics, we analyze infinitesimal automorphisms of projective and conformal structures, whose flow has a higher order fixed point. Via comparison to the homogeneous model, this boils down to algebraic computations in the Lie algebra governing the geometry. The talk reports on joint work with Karin Melnick (University of Maryland). |
