The aim is to create a research-based Centre for tertiary education in the mathematical sciences, bringing best practice to the fore and supporting theoretical development and major research projects.

We are working towards developing a model of subject specific professional development for lecturers in response to contemporary demands for excellence in teaching and learning.

The goal is to establish CULMS as an international centre of excellence in tertiary level teaching, lecturer development and educational research in the mathematical sciences.

LUMOS is our major research project examining the outcomes of undergraduate mathematics education and how we observe them. The link to the Ako Aotearoa project webpage is here.

The Research Report for this project will be launched at an even on 15th February, 2016. Keep this date free!!
